Luxury In-Ground Pools Designed for Exceptional Outdoor Living

When Inspection Changes the Plan

The original pool was built around 2016, and the homeowner initially contacted our team looking to renovate the surface. However, once demolition and inspection began, it became clear that a standard replaster would not provide a reliable, long-term solution.
Our team discovered several structural issues, including:

A compromised gunite shell with rebound-related weaknesses

  • Inconsistent floor thickness, ranging from approximately 4” to 6”
  • Damage to the spillover
  • Minimal rebar in the bond beam, reducing overall structural integrity

Given these conditions, we did not feel confident that a replaster alone would deliver the durability and performance the homeowner deserved.

Choosing the Right Long-Term Solution

After reviewing our findings, we sat down with the homeowner to explain the challenges and walk through multiple options. The shared goal was clear: create a pool that would last, not just look good for a few seasons.

Ultimately, the decision was made to rebuild the pool structure correctly, while retaining the same internal dimensions and footprint that already worked well for the space. What followed was a series of discoveries and design decisions that led to a pool that is as technically sound as it is visually striking.

The Finished Result

The completed pool is a sleek, modern gunite lap pool with a dramatic 15’ infinity edge, offering both form and function. Every detail was engineered with longevity, usability, and lifestyle in mind.

Thoughtful Solutions, Not One-Size-Fits-All

One unique aspect of this project was the concrete decking. Because the existing deck was still in good condition, the homeowner preferred not to replace it entirely. During the rebuild, only the portion immediately surrounding the pool was replaced and carefully color-matched to blend almost seamlessly with the existing deck—an approach that preserved what worked while updating what was necessary.
